Valerie Rouse

Valerie graduated from Center of Advanced Therapeutics in June 2002.  She opened Balance & Tone Massage Therapy LLC in July of 2002.  Her training includes Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Neuromuscular Massage, (Medical Massage) Myofascial Therapy, Travell & Simons Trigger Point Therapy and Sports Massage.  She has enjoyed Continued Education in Reflexology, Abdominal Massage, Facial Massage and Special training in
Releasing the Rotator Cuff.  This has allowed her to blend all these tools to provide a custom approach to each client’s individual needs.

Valerie was inspired to become a massage therapist to help people with pain. Along the way she has learned to relieve her own physical pain. She has had the opportunity to work in two Physical Therapy Departments, one being National Jewish Health.

State Qualifications

On November 17, 2008, the Rules and Regulation Hearing was completed at the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).

All massage therapists must be state registered by April 1, 2009 in order to continue practicing. In order to qualify for state registration, applicants will have to be fingerprinted, and have background checks completed. Registration must be renewed every 2 years. To meet the requirements to be registered in the state of Colorado to practice Massage Therapy means that each therapist must have all met education requirements and passed a background check. Please make sure that when receiving bodywork that your practitioner is registered in the state of Colorado to practice Massage Therapy.
